The Moses-Saunders Power Dam straddles the St. Lawrence River near Massena, New York. If you visit the area you can drive onto Barnhart Island via a tunnel under the Eisenhower Lock of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The dam control water flow and generates a tremendous amount of electricity. You can hear the hum of the generators from the visitor center. We were there on a very nice day, as you can see, but because of the pandemic the center was closed. If all goes well, by the time you visit the center will be open again.
