Well, maybe a DeLorean is just what I need, right? Naaaaa, no way … unless it is a Delorean like this one.
The super-spiffy car you see in the right is a real-deal DeLorean in the West Coast Customs showroom. It is one of a series of cars that they have built for Will.i.am. According to Sean, the WCC staffer who was in the showroom during our visit, this car is fully functional with a blow-your-doors-off power train. The styling you see here was done with prototyping made with a gigantic 3D printer. Once the components are printed and finalized, they are sent off to metal fabrication so they can be turned into this knock-your-socks-off machine you see here.

Meanwhile, this is one of the reasons I get a kick out of traveling around. You never know what you will see, or who you will meet. You can’t see this car unless you go to Burbank. And in Burbank you never know who will turn up when you least expect it.
