This is a middle of summer view of the Berkshires from Hailes Cave area of Thacher State Park. At this time of year it is typical for this scene to be blurred by the haze of seasonal humidity. On this particular day in late August the air was exceptionally clear.
The area from which this photo was taken is in the vicinity of Hailes Cave and the rock climbing zone. Definitely worth the trip for the view alone.
