The Spirit of Santa Monica is a Douglas DC3 on stands in front of the Museum of Flying at the Santa Monica Airport. This is especially appropriate as the airport was the home of Douglas Aircraft through World War II.
The statue in from of the airplane is of Donald Douglas and his dog.
