I had occasion to visit Montreal very recently and had a great time exploring the old city, Vieux Montreal, and the port area. The weather was perfect!
Montreal is a fabulous city and you never quite know what you will see. On my first trip there several years ago we spotted a clown on stilts playing a saxophone. Yes, it was weird. But, on this trip we avoided the weird and stayed with the wonderful. The photo on the right is an image of a private boat (or, perhaps, a very small ship) named the Dolphin. This was more than a boat, really. Call it a work of art.
As you can see, it is big, as boats go. But, size aside, the most marvelous thing about it was the perfect woodwork. I don’t want to think about the amount of upkeep involved! Wow!! It was enough to take a break and admire the Dolphin.
