If you are going to be in SoCal, the center of the center of car culture (or, if you prefer, Kustom Kar Kulture) you really need to stop by the Friday night Cruise in at Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank. Every Friday night from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm cars from all over gather in the parking lot of Bob’s Big Boy on Riverside Drive.
The cast of cars changes from week to week, depending on who is available to cruise on over, but you can pretty much be assured that there will be a selection of cars, trucks and motorcycles that will inspire oo’s and aahh’s. On the evening I was at Bob’s Big Boy there were maybe 40 or 50 cars, a few trucks and 4 or 5 motorcycles.

To be totally honest about the whole thing, this cruise in at Bob’s is pretty neat, but at the Leadfoot Lucy Cruise-In at Kohl’s Plaza in Colonie we see even more cars every Wednesday night. And, if you can believe it, the goodies at Lucy’s are just as cool. If you are in the Los Angeles area, check out Bob’s. But, if you can’t get there, head up to Colonie, NY and check out Leadfoot Lucy. Either way, you can’t go wrong.
