The Magic of A Really Good Keyboard

The Magic of A Really Good Keyboard

Hmm, well, I finally broke down and purchased a new keyboard. Frankly, I went over the top and got a Corsair K95 mechanical keyboard.

Those keyboards that come with a new computer have been getting cheaper and worse. I replaced my latest disaster with an older Microsoft keyboard I had running around. But, even that was not up to the levels that I prefer.

At the risk of sounding like one of those old guys who somehow “remember” that they had to walk three miles to school in six feet of snow, I really don’t think there has been a good OEM keyboard since the classic ones that came with IBM ones from “back in the day”. Those IBM keyboards were very well designed and had nice solid clicks.

Of courses, they were a bit noisy.

After a lot of research and consideration I decided to take a crack at a Corsair K95. As you can see, it is really cool. It has customizable LED keys and a very satisfying click. The keys are by Cherry, and when you press them you really know you press them.

The keyboard is very comfortable and my typing is faster and much less stressful. Of course, if you are not familiar with this type of keyboard you may be missing on it what makes it truly special.

This is not just a typing keyboard. It is, in fact, a gaming keyboard. Right! This is the type of keyboard that serious gamers use. It is not just the type, it actually is one of the most popular gaming keyboards.

So, right, my typing is easier, and Doom Eternal is, well, let’s just say that this keyboard make Doom Eternal even more Doom-y!
