A recent visit to a “yard sale” at the Albany Rural Cemetery resulted the discovery of these two albums. The very nice ladies at the checkout table did not know that Jackie Gleason was a musician in addition to being an actor and comedian, and as a result we had a very nice conversation about “The Great One”.
I was especially happy to snag these LPs because it is fairly difficult to discover Gleason music these days. That is particularly curious because, as it turns out, the Music for Lovers Only record that you see here holds the record for the longest run, in weeks, of any LP on the Billboard charts.
