Are you a collector of Bear Wallow books?
It seems like a lot of people are collectors of these slim cookbooks. I have quite a few of them. I do not know the exact number, but I am guess that I have more than a dozen. My latest acquisition is Old Recipes from FAMILY FARMS: with Historical Notes.
Several recipes caught my eye, but the one that I could not wait to make was the recipe for peanut butter bread. The process is easy and nicely described. Ingredients are common items in most kitchens, and if you use organic peanut butter, as I did, you will almost certainly have a winner.
The photo on the right shows my peanut butter bread that I made by following the recipe exactly. The aroma coming out the oven was so yummy that we waited for barely enough time before we cut a couple of slices.
I can assure you that is tasted as fabulous as it smelled.
