Here’s one of my more recent acquisitions, Islands by The Band.
Islands was recorded by The Band in 1977 and, supposedly, ended up with mixed reviews. Of particular note is the track Georgia On My Mind which was recorded to help the Jimmy Carter campaign. This was The Band’s seventh album.
Well, the critics can say what they want, but, frankly it is The Band and the album is pretty good no matter how you stack it up. I have enjoyed spinning it on the Technics turntable.
