This photo was taken in the late 1990s at the B & O Museum in Baltimore, MD. The locomotive is a Chesapeake & Ohio 2666 “Allegheny” steam loco. It weighs 389 tons and could run at 70 mph. This locomotive put out about 7500 horsepower. At the time the photo was taken this was one of two left out of sixty built.
The photograph above was taken with an Olympus OM1 camera on Kodak color film. The negative was scanned with a Wolverine scanner and adjust with Topaz Studio, Affinity, and Photoshop as the color had deteriorated.
