I have been looking for this album for some time and recently came across it in the collection of a friend. Its not that the The Cars first studio album is hard to find. After all, you can get it on Amazon as a CD, but I wasn’t quite in the mood to pay Amazon prices.
I am not sure why my friend had this in the collection as I never pictured him as a Cars fan. Nevertheless, there it was in a box of other albums that was all set to go to the Goodwill store. Lucky me – I got first pick, so to speak.
This LP came out in 1978 and is loaded with great cuts that seem to turn up on Classic ’80s FM radio about ever 45 minutes. Included are Good Times Roll, My Best Friend’s Girl, Just What I Needed, and a bunch more.
Oh, and yes, it has been playing in the Famous HiFi Lair regularly on the Technics turntable. Yea!
